WHERE FAIRBURN WALKED features historical and contemporary works for solo piano by a range of New Zealand composers that includes, among others, Jenny McLeod, Gillian Whitehead, John Psathas, Claire Cowan, Kenneth Young, Gareth Farr, David Hamilton, Anthony Ritchie, John Elmsly, Craig Utting, Dorothy Buchanan, Michael Williams, and Ernest Jenner.

This collection features all seventy-eight works composed by twenty-four of New Zealand's foremost composers.

Jian is currently the Acting Head of School and Head of Piano Studies at New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington.
